This is an ‘electronic’ diary available in the Ideas4ADIs Suite of software for ADIs. It has been in regular use for some years now and has been made available for general release.
The package has been designed specifically for Driving Instructors and is available in any format of Microsoft Excel from Excel 97 upwards.
The diary allows for four weeks entries to be planned and can provide entries for all styles, lengths or types of lesson. Different lesson types are programmed in - and the user just clicks a button to complete the entry.
An additional page to the spreadsheet allows for a 'mini-record' of pupil data.
The full ‘Diary System’ has a ‘transmittable’ version that can be attached to an e-mail for transmission as required. The pupil data page is also transmitted and can enable a ‘remote’ reader of the diary to be aware of your different pupils’ availability (or desirability!).
An automated facility detects, at the end of a week, that a 'new week' is required. The user is always asked whether the new week action is to be progressed.
The diary can be printed as hard copy at any time.
